India’s para-badminton campaign for the 2026 international season commences at the Egypt Para Badminton International 2026 from January 13-18. Top Indian players like Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam, who won medals at the 2020 Paralympic Games, will lead the charge in Cairo, Egypt.

Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam will be representing India in the tournament, participating in men’s singles and men’s doubles in the SL3 and SL4 categories. The event, expected to see strong international competition, offers a valuable platform for Indian shuttlers to kickstart the new season with intensity and exposure.

This tournament marks the start of a crucial year for athletes as they aim for consistency, strong performances, and momentum across the international badminton calendar. Pramod Bhagat emphasized the importance of starting the year with an international event like Egypt to build rhythm and set the right tone for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Sukant Kadam expressed his focus on maintaining consistency and elevating performance levels in the new season.

The Egypt Para Badminton International 2026, classified as a Level 2 event, is part of the 15-event Para-Badminton season announced by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The 2026 Para Badminton tournament calendar promises an exciting year of competition with a mix of established and new host cities. Notably, the prestigious BWF Para Badminton World Championships will take place in Manama, Bahrain, from February 7 to 14, adding to the anticipation of the season.
