India is increasingly recognized as a significant global power center due to its large and youthful population, expanding economy, and thriving innovation ecosystem, according to global industry leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Business executives emphasized India’s growing importance in the global economic landscape and its capacity to attract substantial international investments.
Tu Chang, Founder of the Forum for Business, Taiwan, highlighted India’s demographic advantage, describing it as a crucial economic force globally. He noted that India’s sizable and young population presents vast opportunities for development and creativity, positioning the country as a strong global power hub.
Recognizing India as a key player in global economic growth, Tu Chang emphasized that the nation’s demographic dividend and economic expansion will continue to draw significant international investments. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that under his guidance, India is well-equipped to enhance its economic performance in the future.
Milind Pimprikar, Founder of Caneus International, discussed the focus at the World Economic Forum on responsibly scaling up technologies. Pimprikar mentioned collaborations with the Governments of Maharashtra and India to establish a framework facilitating the transition of startups and deep-tech innovations from development to large-scale commercialization.
At the forum, discussions centered on the responsible scaling up of technologies, with a particular emphasis on creating a “mid-technology readiness level” to propel promising technologies and startups to the next growth phase. An agreement was reached with the Maharashtra Chief Minister to establish an institute dedicated to advancing deep technologies and fostering innovation-led growth in India.
Frank Meehan, co-founder of frontier one, Australia, lauded India’s robust economic progress, extensive infrastructure development, and well-established business environment, positioning the country as an attractive investment destination.
