India’s U-17 girls demonstrated their dominance at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, securing a total of 12 medals. Rakhi (46 kg) led the charge with a composed 5:0 victory over Chinese Taipei. Khushi (48kg) showed her aggressive side with a first-round RSC win against Korea, while Mamta (52kg) added to the tally with a strong RSC win in Round 2 against Jordan.
Laxmi (54kg) achieved a third-round RSC victory over Mongolia, and Navya (57kg) dominated her Chinese opponent with a 5:0 win. Ishika (60kg) continued the winning streak with an RSC win in Round 2 against Mongolia. The Indian contingent witnessed impressive performances, including Harnoor (66kg) and Himanshi (70kg) securing first-round RSC victories against Chinese Taipei, and Jyoti (75kg) advancing with a disqualification win against Turkmenistan. Gurseerat (80+kg) wrapped up the victories with a solid 4:0 win over Kazakhstan.
In the boys’ category, Narendra Kumar Nella (44–46kg) impressed with a commanding RSC win, contributing to India’s strong performance across divisions. With a total of 12 medals confirmed and a series of dominant performances highlighted by RSC victories, the Indian contingent continues to showcase its depth and emerging talent on the Asian stage.
