IndiGo has issued a travel advisory for passengers traveling to and from Delhi, cautioning about potential flight disruptions caused by thunderstorms and rain forecasted in the national capital. The airline mentioned that flight operations could be impacted due to adverse weather conditions, with preparations underway to minimize disruptions. Passengers were advised to check their flight status on the airline’s website or mobile app before heading to the airport.
The advisory also recommended travelers to allocate extra travel time, as road traffic movement in certain areas of Delhi might be affected by rain and waterlogging. IndiGo emphasized the importance of staying updated on flight statuses through their official platforms to avoid inconveniences. Previously, the airline had issued a similar advisory for Mumbai passengers due to heavy rainfall predictions across the city, urging early airport departures to prevent potential delays.
In recent incidents, adverse weather conditions had also affected IndiGo flight operations in eastern India. An IndiGo flight en route from Kolkata to Patna had to be diverted to Lucknow due to poor weather conditions preventing a safe landing at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna.
