IndiGo has announced temporary adjustments to its international network due to softer demand and cost challenges. Starting July 1, 2026, flights to Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, and Shanghai will be suspended. Additionally, services to Siem Reap will be halted from July 3, 2026. These suspensions will last until September 30, 2026, with bookings expected to resume on October 1, 2026.
The airline mentioned the possibility of reinstating services earlier if market conditions improve, considering operational feasibility and planning timelines. IndiGo plans to restart bookings for all affected routes from October 1, 2026, but is prepared to bring back these services sooner if conditions allow, with sufficient notice.
Despite these adjustments, IndiGo will maintain most of its international operations, running over 1,800 weekly international flights. The airline described these changes as strategic measures to match capacity with demand trends while ensuring network reliability and operational efficiency across its global destinations.
IndiGo emphasized its commitment to closely monitoring market conditions, especially amidst high operating costs and ongoing airspace limitations. The decision reflects a proactive capacity management approach to minimize passenger disruptions and enhance operational effectiveness during the aviation industry’s volatile period.
The airline assured that affected customers will receive proactive notifications about booking changes and advised travelers to check the latest flight schedules before their journeys.
