Indorama Ventures and DP World Professional Golf Tour of India will co-host the second edition of the Indorama Ventures Open Golf Championship at the Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club in Ahmedabad from March 12 to 15. This year, the tournament boasts a prize purse of US$300,000, making it the highest prize money event by DP World PGTI in Gujarat.
The championship will see 143 players competing in a four-round stroke-play format, with the top 60 players and ties advancing after two rounds. The course’s par is set at 72. Leading Indian professionals like Yuvraj Sandhu, Veer Ahlawat, and international players including Jhared Hack and Matthias Schwab will be part of the stellar lineup.
Kapil Dev, President of PGTI, expressed excitement for the tournament, highlighting the partnership with Indorama Ventures as a significant step forward for DP World PGTI. Amandeep Johl, CEO of PGTI, emphasized the importance of events like the Indorama Ventures Open in enhancing the professional golf ecosystem in India and providing players with more competitive opportunities and global exposure.
