Madhya Pradesh Congress President, Jitu Patwari, called on the people of Indore to address the water contamination problem following the deaths in Bhagirathpura. Patwari highlighted the failure of authorities to provide safe drinking water in various parts of the city, leading to 32 reported fatalities.
Former Congress Minister Jitu Patwari emphasized the need for accountability from the administration and public representatives in ensuring safe water for Indore residents. He announced plans for a peaceful demonstration near Rajwada palace to protest the government’s handling of the contaminated water crisis.
The Madhya Pradesh government and Indore district administration have yet to release an official statement on the recent deaths in Bhagirathpura. The matter is under scrutiny by the Indore Division Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court, which appointed a Commission of Inquiry to investigate the water contamination incident and its repercussions.
