In a ceremony at the Constitution Club’s “Speaker Hall,” the Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra recognized 12 exceptional journalists for their significant contributions. Among the attendees were Rahul Kanwal, NDTV’s CEO, and Editor-in-Chief, and Sunil Ambekar, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, who delivered the keynote address. Notable figures like Narendra Thakur, Vishal, and Rajesh from the RSS were also present.
The awardees, chosen by a panel of media professionals including Mamta Verma, Raj Kishore, Rohit Vishwakarma, Brajesh Kumar Singh, Aishwarya Pandit, and Harish Chandra Barnwal, received recognition and prizes. Winners included journalists like Pooja Rana, Garima Upreti, Himani Diwan, Vimal Tyagi, Mayank Baliyan, Manogya Tiwari, Prabhat Ranjan Mishra, Neeraj Kumar Dubey, Nihal Singh, Dr. Ram Kinkar Singh, Shashwat Panigrahi, and Ramanuj Sharma for their outstanding work in various categories.
During his speech, Rahul Kanwal highlighted the importance of genuine human connections in journalism, drawing inspiration from Devarshi Narad. He emphasized the irreplaceable qualities of empathy and dialogue in journalism, urging a focus on meaningful interactions amidst technological advancements. Keynote speaker Sunil Ambekar urged media professionals to prioritize societal truths over narrow political perspectives, emphasizing the role of technology in benefiting humanity and India’s collective progress.
The event also featured discussions on the RSS centenary celebrations by Rajesh Kumar and insights into the selection process by Brajesh Kumar Singh. Editors, senior journalists, and social media influencers were among the attendees, reflecting the event’s commitment to honoring ethical and impactful journalism that serves the public interest.
