Industry Leaders Discuss AI Impact on SaaS Models at Summit

Leading industry figures gathered at the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’ to explore the potential disruption of traditional software-as-a-service (SaaS) models by AI agents. Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson and CEO of Salesforce India, highlighted the complexity of the SaaS model, emphasizing the importance of understanding workflows and addressing customer needs beyond just coding.

K. Krithivasan, CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, noted a shift in the role of software engineers towards high-level architecture and validation in the AI era. While AI offers productivity gains, he stressed the necessity of groundwork for enterprise adoption, such as data rationalization and application modernization.

Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, highlighted a $300 billion services opportunity created by AI, enabling the economically unfeasible to become possible. The leaders emphasized the transformative potential of AI agents in reshaping business models, underscoring the importance of agility, readiness, and continuous problem-solving in the evolving digital landscape.
