The Rajasthan ATS has expanded its probe into Babita Dhakad, also known as Khadija, a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed sleeper-cell operative. Recovering two SIM cards and discovering a Facebook account named Duniya Dhokhebaaz (The World is Deceitful) on her phone has led to a deeper investigation into her online connections, especially with individuals from Pakistan and other countries.
Babita’s father has publicly disowned her, emphasizing that those working against the nation have no place in society. Expressing shock over his daughter’s alleged involvement in anti-national activities, he highlighted the importance of loyalty to the country. Despite living with her family in Jaipur for years, her activities went unnoticed.
Arrested by the Rajasthan ATS based on intelligence inputs, Babita is accused of being in contact with Jaish-e-Mohammed affiliates in Pakistan. Allegedly radicalized through online content, she adopted the name Khadija and had connections to individuals associated with past terrorist activities. The investigation is now focusing on her digital presence and potential operational role beyond online communication.
