The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has joined the probe into the recent violent workers’ protests in Noida after preliminary enquiries hinted at a possible Pakistani connection. The investigation has been expanded to scrutinize every aspect of the vandalism and arson incidents that occurred during the protests.

Reports indicate that what began as workers voicing grievances escalated into widespread violence, including vandalism, arson, and damage to public property across various locations. Authorities faced significant challenges in restoring order as the situation deteriorated rapidly.

Suspicions of a premeditated conspiracy to incite unrest through social media platforms have emerged. The ATS is now delving into social media accounts that shared provocative content during the protests, with some accounts suggesting links to activities outside the country, particularly Pakistan.

Efforts are underway to analyze data, IP addresses, and network connections associated with these suspicious accounts to ascertain any potential ties to terrorist groups or criminal networks. The administration has vowed to take strict action against those responsible for the violence, emphasizing that culprits will face consequences.
