In the ongoing investigation of the Ketan Agarwal murder case, it has been disclosed that the victim’s phone was in possession of his fiancee and main suspect Siya Goyal for a period before being handed over to Ketan’s family. The Pune Police have confirmed that Siya had the phone after the murder, but it is uncertain if any actions were taken with it. There is no information on whether Siya and her co-accused, Chetan Chaudhary, manipulated the data on the phone.
Pune Rural Police recently reconstructed the crime scene at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra related to Ketan Agarwal’s alleged murder. During this reconstruction, a dummy matching the victim’s characteristics was thrown into a deep gorge to recreate the events. Exclusive visuals of this exercise have been obtained. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gajanan Tompe stated that the investigation is ongoing, with all relevant information to be presented before the court as necessary.
Investigators have conducted a ‘gait analysis’ of the second accused, Chetan Chaudhary, in connection with the case. Siya Goyal and her alleged accomplice Chetan Babulal Chaudhary are accused of killing Ketan Agarwal, a 26-year-old real estate businessman, at Lohagad Fort on June 18. The Pune Rural Police have been granted an extension of five more days to detain Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary by a Maharashtra court.
The police sought the extension citing incomplete aspects of the investigation, including the need to recreate the crime scene with both suspects present, track Chetan’s movements post-incident, analyze phone conversations after the murder, and recover evidence related to the destruction of Ketan’s passport. It is alleged that Siya tore and burned the passport after stealing it during a stop at a food mall while the family was en route to Mumbai airport for a pre-wedding trip to Bali.
