Iran’s armed forces revealed on Tuesday that they have launched missile and drone attacks on US bases, assets, and infrastructure in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan in response to recent US assaults on Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that their aerospace forces targeted US air defense systems, radar facilities, and communication infrastructure in Bahrain and Kuwait, along with US military installations in Jordan, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.

The IRGC clarified that these strikes were carried out as a form of retaliation against recent US actions and were aimed at setting the stage for broader missile and drone operations on US military targets in the region. Additionally, Iran’s army announced that it conducted missile and drone strikes on various US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, including Camp Arifjan, Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base, and Shaikh Isa Air Base.

Furthermore, the IRGC reported an attack on an Amazon data center in Bahrain, citing it as a response to a recent US strike on the under-construction Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant in Iran’s Khuzestan province. Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that they had carried out another series of strikes against Iran, focusing on military command centers, missile and drone launch sites, maritime capabilities, and air defense systems to diminish Iran’s capacity to target commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a separate development, the IRGC disclosed that two oil tankers attempting to navigate the Strait of Hormuz through the southern route experienced fires and explosions, halting their progress with Iranian naval forces’ intervention. The IRGC cautioned shipping companies against using this route and reiterated that the Strait would remain closed as long as the US persisted with what Iran termed as “malicious actions” in the region.
