Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that they successfully intercepted and shot down a US MQ-9 drone in Ahvaz. The IRGC Aerospace Force, part of Iran’s air defense network, carried out the operation. This incident is part of Iran’s ongoing retaliatory actions against US military targets in the region.
Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, issued a stern warning to the US. He emphasized that Iran’s Armed Forces are prepared to deliver a devastating response to any aggression. Abdollahi highlighted Iran’s defensive capabilities as crucial for national security and the well-being of its people.
Abdollahi stressed that Iran will not tolerate any acts of greed, bullying, or expansionism from the US. He emphasized the importance of internal unity in countering divisive tactics aimed at the Iranian populace. The IRGC has recently targeted US military installations in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, causing significant damage.
The IRGC’s Sahargah Corps Aerospace Force conducted attacks on US facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. These attacks resulted in the destruction of fighter jets, aircraft, and military infrastructure. The IRGC Navy also launched strikes on US naval assets, including fuel supply docks and intelligence centers in the region.
In response to US military actions, Iran’s forces have been actively engaging in defensive measures. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed multiple nights of strikes against Iran. The ongoing tensions have led to casualties on both sides, with reports of fatalities and injuries in the latest confrontations.
