Actor Ishaan Khatter reminisced about his time as an assistant director in 2016 on his brother Shahid Kapoor’s film “Udta Punjab.” He posted throwback pictures on social media, showing various moments from that period.
One image depicts a young Ishaan holding a clapperboard on a film set during the shooting of “Udta Punjab.” Another photo captures him learning theater with his mother, veteran Bollywood actress Neelima Azeem.
Apart from his assistant director role, Ishaan made his acting debut in 2017 with Majid Majidi’s “Beyond the Clouds” and later starred in Karan Johar’s “Dhadak,” entering mainstream Bollywood.
Shahid Kapoor responded to the post, acknowledging the young Ishaan, while the actor’s journey has also included films like “Khaali Peeli” and “Phone Bhoot,” along with digital projects such as “A Suitable Boy.”
Ishaan Khatter is currently making headlines for his international project “Homebound,” which has been selected for the Oscars this year. The movie features Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor, and Ishaan is the son of Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khattar.
