Islamic scholars and Muslim leaders, along with various groups including NGOs, lawyers, and activists, gathered to ensure a peaceful and well-prepared celebration of the upcoming ‘Bakrid’ festival. The festival, observed globally by Muslims, is anticipated to be held on May 27 in India, contingent on the Moon sighting. Advocate Amin Solkar urged for a harmonious ‘Bakrid’, underscoring the strict enforcement of regulations set by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Maharashtra government. He emphasized the importance of preventing unauthorized individuals from causing disruptions and assured that guidelines would be diligently followed with police assistance. Solkar reiterated the commitment to adhere to BMC directives for a smooth celebration.
