Israel conducted an airstrike on the Karun Petrochemical Company in Iran’s Khuzestan province, causing damage to part of the complex. Iran’s Fars news agency quoted Valiollah Hayati, Khuzestan’s deputy governor for security affairs, confirming the incident without any reported casualties.
Following the Israeli attack, Iran’s Petrochemical Special Economic Zone Organization evacuated all employees in Bandar-e Mahshahr. In a retaliatory move, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeted Israeli air bases Nevatim and Tel Nof, labeling them as “important and strategic” in response to Israel’s actions against radar sites in Iran.
Explosions were reported in Tehran and other Iranian provinces, including Isfahan and East Azarbaijan. The IRGC emphasized its readiness for operations on all fronts in response to what it termed as Israel’s “widespread crimes” in southern Lebanon.
