Gaza’s Civil Defence agency confirmed that 11 Palestinians lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes in the region, revising an earlier count of nine casualties. The strikes, conducted by Israeli aircraft from dawn to midday, targeted various areas, according to Civil Defence Spokesperson Mahmoud Basal. In the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, one person died and several others were injured when a drone attacked a group.

Local sources identified the deceased individual as Sami al-Dahdouh, a member of the Islamic Jihad movement. Basal mentioned that three individuals sustained serious injuries in a separate drone strike in Beit Lahia, located in northern Gaza. Earlier incidents resulted in 10 fatalities, including strikes on a tent housing displaced individuals in Jabalia refugee camp and a gathering in Khan Younis.

Residents reported additional Israeli actions, such as the demolition of homes near the Sheikh Zayed area and artillery shelling in the al-Tuffah neighborhood. Despite the attacks, Israel has not yet commented on the situation. The Israel Defense Forces previously stated that they targeted armed terrorists in northern Gaza, resulting in casualties and a breach of the ceasefire.

Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qassem condemned Israel for alleged “massacres” and violating the truce. Since the ceasefire began, Gaza health authorities have recorded 601 Palestinian deaths and 1,607 injuries. The overall death toll since October 7, 2023, stands at 72,061, with 171,715 wounded. Despite ongoing violence and accusations of violations, a U.S.-brokered truce has been in effect, with media limitations hindering independent verification of casualty figures.
