Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar expressed condolences for the lives lost in the Pahalgam terror attack and affirmed Israel’s commitment to combat terrorism alongside India. Sa’ar emphasized the importance of joint efforts to promote peace and security in the face of such threats.
Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar also honored the victims of the attack, standing in solidarity with India against terrorism. Azar highlighted the shared struggle against terror and extended heartfelt sympathies to the families affected by the tragic incident.
The attack, which occurred in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, claimed the lives of 26 individuals in a brutal assault by The Resistance Front. The victims, including tourists and a local operator, were targeted based on their religion, underscoring the indiscriminate nature of terrorism.
Indian armed forces responded to the attack with ‘Operation Sindoor,’ a strategic military action targeting terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. The operation aimed to neutralize threats, deter further violence, and uphold India’s strong stance against terrorism.
