The Israeli military successfully intercepted a missile from Yemen on Monday morning. The missile launch led to sirens sounding in central Israel, including the city of Tel Aviv. This incident followed Israel’s strikes on Iran earlier that day, targeting military sites in western and central Iran.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) retaliated by launching ballistic missiles at the Ramat David Air Base in northern Israel. Chief Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Ali Abdollahi, warned Israel of further consequences if it escalated attacks on southern Lebanon and Beirut’s Dahieh district. Despite the missile triggering alarms in northern Israel, no injuries or damages were reported.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir affirmed the military’s readiness to respond decisively when necessary. In a separate incident, Israel conducted a strike on a Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut, prompting Iran to retaliate with missile attacks on Israel. Yemen’s Houthi group expressed support for Iran’s military actions against Israel, emphasizing ongoing coordination within the “axis of resistance.”
