The Israeli military initiated a new “wide-scale wave of strikes” on Iran following alarms signaling missile attacks from Iran. Residents in Tel Aviv heard loud blasts, with debris hitting multiple locations. Israel’s rescue service, Magen David Adom, mobilized teams to search for injuries from missile hits.
The strikes came after Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs and Hezbollah’s rocket barrages on northern Israel. Israeli military sources reported that Hezbollah militants launched around 100 rockets and drones at northern Israel, while Iran simultaneously fired missiles at various areas. Impact and injuries were reported, with at least two civilians lightly wounded.
The conflict, stemming from US-Israeli joint military strikes on Iran, entered its 13th day. US forces, under ‘Operation Epic Fury,’ have targeted over 5,500 sites in Iran, including ships, to exert sustained military pressure on Tehran. Admiral Brad Cooper, overseeing the operation, emphasized the ongoing expansion of strikes across different domains, aiming to weaken Iran’s military infrastructure.
