Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump will cover various issues, with a focus on Iran. Describing Trump as a “friend,” Netanyahu highlighted the significance of their eighth meeting since Trump’s reelection.
Before heading to the US with his wife Sara Netanyahu, the Israeli PM emphasized the agenda of their meeting, stating, “Our goal is clear: to safeguard Israel’s security, strengthen its power, and expand the circle of peace around us.” Netanyahu expressed his commitment to ensuring Israel’s security, strength, and future during this mission.
Netanyahu also mentioned his intention to pay respects to late US Senator Lindsey Graham, whom he regarded as a true friend of Israel. He emphasized Graham’s significant support for Israel and its citizens, reflecting on the strong bond between the two nations.
Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East due to recent military confrontations between Tehran and Washington, Netanyahu’s visit to the US gains importance. He discussed his upcoming trip and a recent conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, underscoring the need for firm action against the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its prosecutor Karim Khan.
