Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, highlighted the importance of India designating Hamas as a terrorist organization during a virtual meeting with prominent Hindu leaders worldwide. Sa’ar underscored Hamas’ connections with various radical Islamist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Sa’ar expressed gratitude for the opportunity to update the leaders on the positive developments in Israel-India relations and emphasized Israel’s ongoing battle against radical Islam over the past 2.5 years. He noted Israel’s success in countering radical Islamic terrorism, particularly the influence of the Iranian regime, and highlighted the broader implications of this struggle beyond the Middle East.
Among the leaders present at the interaction were Abhishek Verma, Shiv Sena’s Chief National Coordinator for NDA Alliance and Elections, global humanitarian leader Mohanji, and spiritual leader Gauranga Das Prabhu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously conveyed India’s support for Israel’s fight against terrorism during his visit to Israel earlier this year.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed gratitude to PM Modi for India’s solidarity following a Hamas attack in October 2023. Netanyahu commended Modi for his unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of standing against radical Islam and acknowledging Israel’s role in defending civilization.
