Israel’s military spokesperson, Effie Defrin, revealed that around 1,900 Iranian soldiers and commanders have been killed in the conflict. Additionally, a total of 12 civilians and two soldiers have died in Iranian attacks in Israel and combat with Hezbollah militants in Lebanon. The Israeli Health Ministry reported that 2,238 individuals have been evacuated to hospitals since the start of US-Israeli strikes on Iran, with 91 still hospitalized.
The Israeli air force continued its offensive on Monday, conducting strikes in Tehran, Isfahan, and southern Iran. Since the US-Israeli attack began on February 28, Israeli warplanes have targeted six military airports in Iran and destroyed 16 cargo aircraft used by the Quds Force to transport weapons and money to Iran’s allies. Israeli airstrikes in Beirut targeted 35 high-rise buildings used by Hezbollah, with over 700 Hezbollah sites hit in Lebanon.
Effie Defrin stated that Israeli attacks will persist for as long as necessary. Responding to inquiries about targeting Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, Defrin asserted that any perceived threat would be addressed. US President Donald Trump mentioned that the military strikes against Iran would conclude “soon,” although he clarified that it might not be this week.
