Veteran actor Danny Denzongpa celebrated his 78th birthday, and his close friend, actor Jackie Shroff, honored him with a musical tribute. Danny and Jackie have shared a long-standing friendship, having appeared together in films like Andar Baahar, Bandish, and 1942: A Love Story.
Jackie took to Instagram to share a video montage showcasing Danny’s journey from his youth to the present day. Alongside the video, Jackie simply captioned, “#dannydenzongpa #happybirthday.” He included the song Sun Sun Kasam Se from the 1975 film Kala Sona, featuring Danny and actress Farida Jalal.
In a career spanning over five decades, Danny Denzongpa has acted in more than 190 films since 1971. He received the Padma Shri in 2003 and has also appeared in international projects, notably alongside Brad Pitt in Seven Years in Tibet.
Known for his versatile roles, Danny has portrayed iconic negative characters in films like Dhund, Agneepath, and Hum, as well as positive roles in movies such as Chor Machaye Shor and Kalicharan. His directorial work in Phir Wahi Raat is recognized as one of the top five horror-suspense films in Hindi Cinema.
Danny Denzongpa’s last on-screen appearance was in Uunchai, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, where he starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and others.
