Mumbai, Aug 7 (IANS) Producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani has unveiled his new Independence Day anthem “Tere Rang Mein,” which celebrates the essence of the nation, its people, rich culture and defence forces.

Talking about the track, Jackky told IANS that the anthem is a heartfelt tribute to India and the emotions that unite the country. He said the song aims to celebrate the diversity of the nation while honouring the courage and dedication of the defence forces. The ‘Youngistaan’ actor shared, “I am a proud Indian, and all we’ve tried to show through Jjust Music in Tere Rang Mein is how diverse and colourful our country is, with people from all religions and backgrounds living in together.”

“The song is a tribute to the nation as it celebrates people and our rich culture as well as the defense forces. This Independence Day, I hope that Tere Rang Mein becomes one of the reasons of joy.”

Jackky, under his musical banner, Jjust Music, released ‘Tere Rang Mein’, a patriotic track that celebrates India’s spirit, unity, emotional connection and culture in its full glory.

Meanwhile, Jackky Bhagnani recently grabbed headlines after he opened up about his personal struggles with body image. Last month, the actor-producer spoke candidly about the challenges he faced during a conversation on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s chat show “Double Date.” Jackky, who appeared on the show alongside his wife Rakul Preet Singh, shared that he once weighed close to 150 kilos. He also opened up about facing insensitive remarks and being teased about his weight during his growing-up years.

Recalling one of the incidents, Jackky shared, “I still remember there was a film made on Akshay Sir, Khiladio Ka Khiladi, that time, there was a chatter amongst producers that they are calling WWF wrestler Yokozuna, how he is being brought to India for Bollywood. It was a huge buzz then. During one such conversation, a little overweight uncle told my father, ‘Why do you need to call Yokozuna from outside? You already have one at home.”

He added, “When you are growing up you are also part of all jokes. If you are overweight or dark-skinned in this country, people don’t think twice before bullying you. For example if someone is laughing there you feel, kahin ye mujhpe toh nahi hans raha (is he laughing at me?), but in reality that person is not even aware of me.”)
