The Jaish-e-Mohammed has intensified its recruitment of women for a specialized mission involving nightclubs, bars, and pubs owned by Indians globally. These women are being trained to conduct attacks in these establishments, serving as a reconnaissance team. Once the preparation phase concludes, the plan is to launch coordinated attacks using the same recruited women.
With assistance from the ISI, the Jaish-e-Mohammed is scouting potential targets in various countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Dubai. To avoid detection, the outfit aims to recruit predominantly from Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, minimizing Pakistani involvement. Foreign recruits will receive new identities before commencing their roles in the targeted venues.
In a bid for a large-scale and synchronized operation, the Jaish-e-Mohammed intends to orchestrate attacks simultaneously at identified locations. By targeting Indian nationals globally, including those living abroad, the outfit seeks to convey a message to India. The agencies are vigilant of this extensive plot, characterized by substantial fundraising efforts under the guise of Gaza relief campaigns.
To finance such an operation, the Jaish-e-Mohammed is leveraging various channels, including soliciting donations in Gulf nations and Pakistan under the pretext of Gaza relief. The outfit is also luring women recruits with significant financial incentives, targeting individuals who have experienced personal hardships or injustices. Exploiting vulnerability, the group aims to recruit individuals who may be more effective in carrying out attacks, drawing parallels to the LTTE’s use of women as suicide bombers.
