External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun in Seoul to discuss collaboration in shipbuilding, trade, investments, defense, technology, clean energy, culture, and more.
The ministers also explored opportunities in startups, fintech, and multilateral forums, building on the outcomes of President Lee Jae Myung’s visit to India. They reviewed progress in various areas and discussed ways to further enhance ties between South Korea and India.
Both ministers engaged in detailed talks on global developments and agreed to maintain close communication to address economic impacts from changes in the Middle East. They are scheduled to meet again at the Jeju Forum to delve into bilateral relations and the international landscape.
EAM Jaishankar emphasized the importance of their meeting in the current global scenario, highlighting the need for countries with shared values and mutual trust to collaborate. He acknowledged the recent leadership occasions that have guided them on advancing the relationship between India and South Korea.
