External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar took part in the Informal Meeting of the European Union (EU) Foreign Ministers in Cyprus. The discussions focused on opportunities, practical collaborations, and shared interests in the changing global order. Jaishankar expressed his pleasure in joining the EU Foreign Affairs Ministers’ meeting in Limassol, emphasizing the deepening partnership across various domains.
Jaishankar engaged in bilateral discussions with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares during the event. They deliberated on enhancing trade, technology, defense, and people-to-people ties between the two countries. Additionally, Jaishankar met with Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha to discuss the Ukraine conflict and explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Moreover, Jaishankar held talks with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, exchanging views on regional developments in West Asia. The discussions with the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, centered on India-EU cooperation and the geopolitical landscape in West Asia.
