External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden to convey greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss collaboration in financial services, investments, technology, and innovation between the two countries. Jaishankar expressed gratitude for Frieden’s support in strengthening India-EU relations. The Minister will also engage with Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and other leaders during his visit to Luxembourg.
During his trip, Jaishankar will interact with the Indian community in Luxembourg, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs. His visit follows engagements in France, where he met with International Energy Agency Executive Director Fatih Birol to discuss global energy dynamics and India’s development. Jaishankar also participated in the French-Indian Young Talents Program, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the two nations.
In Paris, Jaishankar visited an exhibition highlighting India’s textile heritage and craftsmanship, showcasing the cultural ties between India and France. He appreciated the warm reception from Minister Delegate for Europe and Foreign Affairs Eleonore Caroit and Roman Pinosch at the exhibition. The Minister’s engagements aim to enhance bilateral relations and explore opportunities for mutual growth and cooperation.
