External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Polish Deputy Prime Minister Radoslaw Sikorski to discuss enhancing economic, technology, defense, mining, P2P, and multilateral cooperation between India and Poland. Jaishankar emphasized the importance of zero tolerance for terrorism and the need to nurture the growing ties between the two nations.
During the meeting, Jaishankar highlighted the steady progress in the relationship between India and Poland but stressed the necessity for continuous attention. He commended Poland’s support for stronger India-EU ties and urged for mutual cooperation in addressing global challenges. The discussions also touched upon regional and global developments, emphasizing the significance of exchanging perspectives.
Acknowledging the historical warmth and friendly relations between India and Poland, Jaishankar underlined the recent elevation of bilateral ties to a strategic partnership status. The visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Poland in August 2024 was cited as a significant milestone in strengthening the bond between the two countries. Radoslaw Sikorski’s visit to New Delhi aimed at furthering the India-Poland Strategic Partnership, following his engagements in Jaipur.
