Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani highlighted a growing sense of insecurity among many Muslims in India, citing feelings of being “cornered, unsafe, and humiliated.” He emphasized that this sentiment stems from a perceived bias in governance and law enforcement, rather than isolated incidents. Madani expressed concerns over inconsistent responses from authorities, contributing to the unease felt by the Muslim community.

Madani addressed the global perception of Muslims being targeted, pointing to a broader trend without citing specific incidents. He also discussed the deportation of alleged illegal immigrants in Assam, emphasizing that the issue should not be viewed through a religious lens. Madani stated that anyone, regardless of religion, who is a foreign national without valid documents should not be allowed to stay in India.

Regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Madani noted that dissatisfaction is not exclusive to Muslims but extends to other communities as well. He mentioned the Gujarat Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill, stating that his organization would respond after a detailed examination of the bill. Madani also commented on the restrictions on offering Eid prayers on roads, calling for a uniform application of rules to ensure fairness.

On AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Madani acknowledged Owaisi’s capabilities and active participation in politics, describing him as someone who performs his role effectively.
