Jammu and Kashmir’s Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha, inspected the amenities for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu city. He assessed the facilities and services available for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra at the Yatri Niwas. Interacting with officials from various departments, including the J&K Police and the Army, Sinha ensured measures were in place for the comfort of the pilgrims.
The Lt Governor praised the officials’ efforts and urged them to treat each pilgrim as a revered guest. As the pilgrimage exceeded three lakh participants in just 12 days, Sinha emphasized the importance of providing a seamless and pleasant experience for all devotees. He highlighted the need for efficient registration, comfortable accommodations, and smooth travel arrangements for the devotees of Baba Barfani.
Sinha also stressed the promotion of Jammu by organizing tours to spiritual and tourism sites, along with showcasing local handicrafts. He expressed the desire for pilgrims to take home not just memories but also locally made products. The Lt Governor reviewed the deployment of Food Safety Officers, reception facilities, and transportation arrangements, ensuring a well-managed influx of devotees.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, updated the meeting on actions against fraudulent practices, emphasizing legal consequences for misconduct. Sinha interacted with the devotees, extending wishes for a safe and blessed pilgrimage. Accompanied by officials from various departments, Sinha aimed to make this year’s Yatra a historic and memorable experience for all participants.
