Police in Jammu announced the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of arms and ammunition during the investigation of a narco-terror case. The operation, part of Operation Sanjeevani, made significant progress in dismantling a high-profile narco-terror network. The case, initially uncovered by Police Station Gandhi Nagar, involved a well-organized syndicate spanning districts, states, and borders.
On November 14, 2025, the police registered a case after apprehending two individuals, leading to the discovery of the narco-terror module. Multiple arrests were made, including peddlers, financial handlers, and facilitators, with recoveries of heroin-like substance, pistols, ammunition, and a modified vehicle.
Furthering the investigation, a Special Investigation Team apprehended another suspect, Rohit Kumar alias Makhan, on January 3. A subsequent search at his residence resulted in the recovery of a pistol, magazine, and live rounds. The accused is in police custody for interrogation to ascertain his role, connections, and arms supply routes.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other associates, trace financial channels, and establish cross-border linkages. Jammu police are dedicated to eradicating narco-terror networks and ensuring the safety of the region’s residents.
