World No. 2 Jannik Sinner expressed gratitude to his supporters and acknowledged Novak Djokovic for advancing to the Australian Open final. Sinner, after leading two sets to one, suffered a tough defeat against Djokovic in a thrilling five-set semi-final match. Despite aiming for a third consecutive Australian Open title, Sinner failed to capitalize on key opportunities, converting only two of 18 break points against Djokovic.

Sunday will mark the first major final absence for Sinner since the 2024 Wimbledon, where Alcaraz bested Djokovic. Despite the loss, Sinner commended Djokovic, recognizing his exceptional level of play and his status as a 24-time Grand Slam champion. Sinner highlighted the importance of Grand Slams and expressed a desire to learn from Djokovic’s performance to enhance his own game.
