Veteran actress Jaya Prada has expressed deep concern over recent violent incidents in Bangladesh. She specifically mentioned the murder of Deepu Chandra Das and the reported attacks on temples and women, labeling them as a disgrace to humanity. Jaya took to Instagram to share a video where she strongly criticized the escalating violence, highlighting the need for people to speak out against such atrocities.
In the video, Jaya emotionally stated, “I am saddened by the extreme cruelty inflicted on human beings. This is not just violence; it is an assault on humanity itself. Our temples are being destroyed, and our sisters’ dignity is being violated. How long can we remain silent? Should we continue to stay quiet in the name of secularism? This violence must end, and we must all raise our voices to support Hindus facing persecution in Bangladesh.”
She captioned her video with a message, “The murder of Deepu Chandra Das is a shame for all of humanity. The ongoing atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh have reached intolerable levels.”
The tragic incident involving Dipu Chandra Das, a 25-year-old Hindu factory worker who was killed in Bangladesh on December 25, has sparked outrage. Das, the sole provider for his family, including his disabled father, mother, wife, and young child, was a victim of a mob attack following allegations of blasphemy. The rise in violence against minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh under the Yunus-led interim government has drawn global attention and condemnation from various human rights organizations.
