Neeraj Kumar, the chief spokesperson of Janata Dal (United) and an MLC, launched a scathing attack on Tejashwi Yadav, the National Working President of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and the Lalu Prasad Yadav family during a press conference in Patna. While extending birthday wishes to Lalu Prasad Yadav, Neeraj Kumar criticized Tejashwi Yadav, labeling him as “Twitter Babua” (Twitter Boy). He accused Tejashwi of spreading misinformation, particularly regarding the construction of a VVIP toilet during the Chief Minister’s Pragati Yatra.
Neeraj Kumar refuted Tejashwi’s claim that Rs 7 lakh was spent on a single toilet, stating that four toilets were built at a total cost of around Rs 4 lakh, averaging about Rs 1.56 lakh per unit. He highlighted alleged discrepancies in the expenses incurred during the current government’s tenure compared to the previous Mahagathbandhan government, questioning Tejashwi’s silence during his time in office. Neeraj Kumar also addressed the bungalow controversy involving Rabri Devi and RJD members, expressing concerns over conflicting statements and announcing plans to request a thorough investigation by the Economic Offences Unit.
The JD(U) spokesperson emphasized the need for transparency regarding valuable assets discovered at the Rabri residence and urged those involved in the controversy to provide clarifications publicly. The ongoing debate surrounding jewellery rewards and financial mysteries, as raised by Bhojpuri singer Chhotu Chhaliya and RJD MLC Sunil Kumar Singh, has prompted Neeraj Kumar to seek official scrutiny into the matter for further clarity and accountability.
