Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed gratitude to the Central government for honoring veteran tribal leader Shibu Soren with the Padma Bhushan. Shibu Soren, fondly known as ‘Dishom Guruji,’ shares a father-son relationship with Hemant and is the founder of the JMM party.
Hemant Soren, in a statement on social media, thanked the Central government for recognizing Shibu Soren’s contributions. He highlighted Shibu Soren’s impact on issues like tribal identity, social justice, and women’s empowerment, transcending political boundaries.
Describing Shibu Soren as a symbol of tribal pride, Hemant Soren praised his role in securing statehood for Jharkhand. The announcement of the Padma Bhushan for Shibu Soren has been well-received in Jharkhand, where he is seen as a champion of marginalized communities and a key figure in the state’s formation.
