The Jharkhand T20 League, organized by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), is set to host its inaugural player auction. A total of 275 cricketers will be available for selection during the auction. The league comprises six franchises, each equipped with a 50 lakh auction purse.
The President of JSCA, Ajay Nath Shah Deo, emphasized the league’s role in enhancing Jharkhand’s cricketing landscape. According to Sanjay Pandey, Vice President of JSCA, the league aims to provide a platform for local talent to shine at various levels of the sport. Saurabh Tiwary, JSCA Secretary, highlighted the developmental opportunities the league offers to both established and emerging cricketers.
Key players like Ishan Kishan, Robin Minz, and Virat Singh are expected to attract significant interest from the franchises. Renowned sports personality Charu Sharma will oversee the auction process for the six teams. The franchises will be required to build squads comprising a minimum of 16 players and a maximum of 18 players.
The auction features players categorized into different price brackets, with seven players designated as Icons with a base price of 4 lakh. The auction pool includes players from various categories, starting from Senior State Players with a base price of 75k. The auction event will be broadcast live on DD Sports and Waves, offering fans a glimpse of the team-building process.
