The Jindal Foundation and the Flag Foundation of India, led by Naveen Jindal and Shallu Jindal, organized a Tiranga milestone celebration at Jindal House. The event was graced by the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team, who emerged as champions of the first-ever Women’s World Cup, Cricket for the Blind 2025. The Jindal family highlighted the importance of inclusion and constitutional values in nation-building during the event.
Held just before Republic Day, the celebration provided a national platform to honor achievement, equality, and participation. The presence of women athletes with visual impairment under the Tricolour, symbolizing dignity, justice, and equal citizenship, showcased the enduring spirit of the Indian Constitution. It emphasized that every citizen plays a crucial role in the nation’s narrative.
A significant moment at the event was when Naveen Jindal, a three-time Member of Parliament and key figure in various organizations, interacted with athletes from the Cricket Association of the Blind in India (CABI). In a gesture of support and inclusivity, Jindal bowled a blind cricket delivery and officially recognized the World Champion team. Each player and official were awarded a cheque of ₹60,000, totaling ₹12 lakh. Additionally, Mahantesh, Founding Trustee of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled and Chairman of CABI, presented Jindal with an autographed cricket bat and a blind cricket ball, symbolizing mutual respect and national pride.
As India gears up for Republic Day, the presence of the Indian women’s blind cricket champions at this symbolic Tiranga event served as a poignant reminder of the nation’s enduring values. It highlighted that the strength of the Republic lies in its living ideals, transforming a national event into a shared aspiration. India’s flawless performance in the tournament, culminating in a seven-wicket victory over Nepal in the final, further underscored the team’s remarkable journey and success.
