Jindal Steel’s consolidated net profit for the quarter ending June 30 plummeted by 43.6% year-on-year to Rs 843.8 crore. This decline was evident when compared to the previous year’s corresponding quarter and the preceding quarter’s figures. Despite this, the company saw a 25.9% increase in consolidated revenue, reaching Rs 15,482.13 crore during the same period.
In contrast, the revenue witnessed a sequential decline from the previous quarter’s Rs 16,217.93 crore. The total consolidated income for the April-June quarter was reported at Rs 15,501.32 crore, showing an increase from the previous year but a decrease from the previous quarter. The company’s total consolidated expenses also rose significantly to Rs 14,296.36 crore compared to the same quarter last year.
Moreover, Jindal Steel announced changes to its senior management alongside the quarterly results. Vidya Rattan Sharma was appointed as an additional director and managing director for a two-year term starting July 24, 2026. The company also named Sandeep Modi as Chief Financial Officer, Rajiv Kumar as Chief Operating Officer, and Sukhjit S. Pasricha as Head of Human Resources, all effective from the same date.
Additionally, S S Kothari Mehta & Co. LLP was appointed as the company’s statutory auditors for a five-year term, subject to shareholders’ approval. Sunil Agrawal will step down as interim Chief Financial Officer but will continue to supervise the finance function.
