Jammu witnessed a reshuffle in civil administration as the J&K Administration transferred 22 IAS and JKAS officers. Ashwani Kumar, a 1992 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the Power Development Department. Additionally, he will oversee the Mining Department.
Ashish Chandra Verma, a 1994 batch IAS officer, will now serve as the Financial Commissioner (ACS) of the Tourism Department and also handle the Agriculture Production Department. Shailendra Kumar, from the 1995 IAS batch, has been reassigned as the Financial Commissioner (ACS) of the Finance Department.
M. Raju, a 2005 batch IAS officer, will take on the role of Commissioner/Secretary, GAD, while also managing the Health & Medical Education Department. R. Alice Vaz, also from the 2005 IAS batch, has been designated as Commissioner/Secretary of the Planning, Development, and Monitoring Department, with an additional responsibility for the Information Department.
Yasha Mudgal, a 2007 IAS batch officer, has been transferred to serve as Commissioner/Secretary of the Cooperatives Department. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, from the 2009 IAS batch, will now hold the position of Commissioner/Secretary for the Youth Services and Sports Department.
Piyush Singla, a 2012 IAS officer, has been appointed as Secretary of the IT Department, with an additional charge as Administrative Secretary of the Public Grievances Department. Babila Rakwal, a JKAS officer, will now serve as Commissioner/Secretary of the Science and Technology Department.
Anjali Sehrawat, a 2013 IAS officer, has been named the Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission. Nidhi Malik, also from the 2013 IAS batch, has been assigned as the Inspector General of Registration for J&K.
Owais Ahmed, a 2014 IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Skill Development in J&K. Sagar D. Dattatray, from the 2014 IAS batch, will now serve as the Director of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs in Kashmir.
Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan, a 2016 IAS officer, has been transferred to the role of Deputy Commissioner in Budgam. Kumar Abhishek, also from the 2016 IAS batch, will now serve as Deputy Commissioner in Reasi.
Akriti Sagar, a 2016 IAS officer, has been designated as the Managing Director of the National Health Mission in J&K, with an additional role as Special Secretary of the Health & Medical Education Department. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat, a 2017 IAS officer, has been reassigned as Deputy Commissioner in Anantnag.
Minga Sherpa, from the 2017 IAS batch, will now serve as Deputy Commissioner in Udhampur. Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, a 2017 AM batch IAS officer, has been transferred to the role of Deputy Commissioner in Baramulla.
Harvinder Singh, a 2019 IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Employment in J&K, with additional responsibilities as CEO of Mission Youth and Mission Director of Mission YUVA. Shahzad Alam, also from the 2019 IAS batch, will now serve as Deputy Commissioner in Kulgam.
Krishan Lal, a JKAS officer, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner in Doda. The police department is also expected to witness a similar major reshuffle soon.
