Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo criticized the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for not initiating a probe into recruitments spanning the past 10 years. Itoo dismissed accusations related to recruitments and outsourcing, emphasizing that any inquiry into recent recruitments should also encompass the last decade. The minister, speaking at the International Yoga Day event in Srinagar, assured full cooperation with investigations, stating that the current government is transparent and ready for scrutiny.
The Education Minister urged the PDP to first address all recruitments made over the past 10 years before demanding investigations into recent hiring processes. She clarified that the outsourcing system was not introduced by the present administration but was a pre-existing practice. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability, she highlighted its willingness to undergo any scrutiny to maintain integrity in governance.
Amidst ongoing debates on recruitment and outsourcing in government departments, the minister reiterated the government’s dedication to fairness and transparency in administrative affairs. The PDP has been vocal in its criticism of the National Conference (NC) government, accusing it of neglecting to provide job opportunities to qualified youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, the PDP has raised concerns about the credibility of recruitment processes, alleging leaks in question papers prepared by external agencies.
