The Lieutenant Governor commended the unity displayed by neighbors supporting each other in the fight against drugs. He underscored the shift from silence to a resounding outcry against drug-related activities. Sinha revealed the extensive efforts undertaken, including organizing numerous events and taking legal action against drug traffickers.
Sinha emphasized the interconnectedness of drug smuggling and terrorism, describing them as two sides of the same coin. He stressed that combating drug crimes was crucial in curbing terrorism in the region. The Lieutenant Governor vowed to eliminate drug smugglers from Jammu and Kashmir, warning the narco-terror network of intensified law enforcement actions.
Since April 11, significant progress has been made in combating drug-related crimes, with numerous arrests and punitive measures taken against offenders. The administration has focused on awareness campaigns, inspections of drug stores, and community-based initiatives to tackle drug trafficking. Efforts to provide treatment and rehabilitation to those affected by addiction have also been prioritized.
