Hollywood actress Jodie Foster shared that after completing an acting job, she immerses herself in therapy due to struggling with readjusting to normal life. Foster, known for her role in ‘The Silence of The Lambs,’ described her intense work ethic, where she becomes a “total couch potato” post-shoot. She emphasized the need for routine in her life and how she transitions from intense work periods to a state of doing “nothing” until she feels the need to engage in therapy sessions.
Foster expressed her dedication to her craft, stating that during filming, she works tirelessly, often for long hours, leading to a state of isolation where she disconnects from the outside world. Upon completing a project, she experiences a sense of relief but then transitions into a phase of inactivity before restarting the cycle with therapy. The actress highlighted the cyclical nature of her routine, indicating a pattern that spans approximately a year.
Additionally, Foster disclosed her fondness for napping, emphasizing the importance of rest in her life. She acknowledged the necessity of sleep and the joy she finds in taking naps, particularly valuing the rejuvenating effects of a well-timed nap lasting around 45 minutes to an hour, with longer naps also being enjoyable for her.
Foster, who started her career as a child actor, recently expressed satisfaction with her current work in her 60s, suggesting that she believes this period to be the peak of her career.
