Hollywood actress Jodie Turner-Smith, known for her exceptional parenting skills, recently shared insights on discussing her divorce with her 6-year-old daughter, Juno. Turner-Smith, a child of divorce herself, emphasized the importance of choosing the right language to explain the situation to her daughter. She highlighted the goal of maintaining two loving homes for Juno despite the challenges.
In a podcast interview with Hoda Kotb, Turner-Smith mentioned the complexities of these conversations, aiming to strike a balance between age-appropriate discussions and a child-centered approach. She stressed the significance of being honest with Juno to help her grasp the changes brought about by the divorce. Turner-Smith also revealed that she often uses children’s books as a valuable tool to facilitate these discussions.
Turner-Smith’s remarks follow the news that she and Joshua Jackson utilized a private judge to settle custody arrangements post their divorce, which was finalized in May 2025. Notably, as part of the divorce settlement, Jackson agreed to pay $2,787 monthly in child support for Juno.
