The judicial inquiry into the controversial encounter death of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari has officially started in Bihar’s Bhojpur. Led by retired High Court Justice Vinod Kumar Sinha, the commission visited Bilauti village in Shahpur to investigate the police encounter. Justice Sinha and the team met Tiwari’s family and collected information about the incident.
The commission requested written submissions from the family to aid in examining the case’s facts and evidence. Justice Sinha mentioned that this field visit marked the beginning of the inquiry. The team interacted with family members, locals, and inspected the site of the incident.
Reviewing representations from the family, official records, and available evidence will guide the investigation, according to Justice Sinha. He assured that the inquiry would be impartial and comprehensive, covering all aspects of the case. Tiwari’s mother, Asha Devi, reiterated the family’s demand for justice and urged strict action against those responsible for her son’s death.
