The judicial inquiry into the Bharat Tiwari police encounter case in Bihar’s Bhojpur district advanced as the deceased’s parents provided their statements to the state government’s commission. The statements were recorded separately by Justice (Retd.) Vinod Kumar Sinha, who leads the inquiry. Kashinath Tiwari, the father, detailed the events of the incident to the commission, mentioning being held at the police station throughout the day.
Asha Devi, the deceased’s mother, also testified before the commission, sharing her personal account and suspicions regarding the involved police personnel. She highlighted various issues, including the arrest of accused officers and concerns about the investigation process. The commission assured her that all statements and evidence would be thoroughly examined before any further actions are taken.
The judicial inquiry commission, established by the Bihar government, is meticulously investigating all facets of the Bharat Tiwari encounter case. Witness testimonies, including those of family members and police personnel, are being recorded in stages.
