Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao has called upon Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to promptly release a notification to recruit 20,000 police constables. In an open letter to the Chief Minister, Rama Rao highlighted the challenges faced by police constable and sub-inspector aspirants, emphasizing the need for immediate action to address their concerns. He underscored the plight of unemployed youth from rural backgrounds who dedicate significant time and effort preparing for these exams, urging the government to prioritize their welfare.
Rama Rao criticized the government for announcing only 5,000 police job openings despite the existence of around 17,000 vacant positions in Telangana. He pointed out that the failure to fulfill promises made to aspirants has led to widespread disillusionment among the youth, with many taking to the streets in protest. The letter also highlighted the discrepancy in job creation figures between the current Congress government and the previous BRS administration, accusing the former of failing to deliver on its commitments.
The BRS leader raised concerns about the Congress party’s unfulfilled pledges regarding job creation, particularly in light of the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections. Despite assurances of substantial employment opportunities, the government has fallen short of its targets, exacerbating the challenges faced by job seekers. Rama Rao emphasized the need for concrete action to address the growing discontent among unemployed youth and ensure transparency in recruitment processes.
