The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra kicks off as the first group of pilgrims embarks on their spiritual journey through Sikkim’s Nathu La Pass. This pilgrimage, highly revered by devotees, signifies the restart of travel to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.
This year, 500 pilgrims will undertake the yatra through the Nathu La route, divided into 10 batches of 50 participants each. To ensure a smooth journey, every batch will have a liaison officer and a medical assistant accompanying them.
Ahead of the yatra, India’s Ambassador to China, Vikram Doraiswami, extended a warm welcome to the pilgrims and provided essential travel guidance through a video message.
